Portishead Town Council: Moving Towards a Sustainable Future

Portishead Town Council has been actively engaging with the local community, organising sustainability and clothes swap events, and we also held an Energy Expo event in November. These initiatives have brought people together to swap clothes, share stories, and enjoy a good laugh. They've not only fostered a sense of wellbeing but also made a positive impact on our environment.

So far, we've prevented over 3 tonnes of Greenhouse gases from being emitted, simply through these small but meaningful steps.

Having recently declared a climate emergency, we're now turning to our community for ideas on how we can make an even bigger difference. We're eager to explore ways to protect our local environment, improve energy efficiency in homes, and reduce costs for residents.

We're keen to support and work with the many excellent groups already working on sustainability in Portishead.
