Temporary Suspension of One-way Traffic Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to suspend, temporarily, the existing one-way traffic order relating to the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The above restriction is necessary in the interest of public safety and the facilitation of road works as part of the Ashton Road resurfacing scheme being undertaken by North Somerset Council. This order will become operative on the 5 September 2022 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the restrictions may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated, which is expected to be for 5 nights between the hours of 20:00 – 06:00.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger and essential Health and Safety requirement to the public consequent upon work by North Somerset Council to remove diseased ash trees. This will become operative on the 19th September 2022 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the phased works which is anticipated to be of 33 days in duration on weekdays only between 9.30hrs and 15.30hrs. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians 2022

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works construction vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Kier to repair mortuary boundary wall. This will become operative on the 10 October 2022 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of approximately 18 weeks in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works construction vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road. This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon phased work by Bristol Water to repair frame & install fire hydrant. This will become operative on the 5th September 2022 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration in phases. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Church Road, Leigh Woods, NORTH SOMERSET (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) 2022
Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council, under section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended will, by virtue of this Notice, for a period of up to five days commencing on the 30th August 2022 will close, temporarily to vehicles the length of Church Road at the junction with Bridge Road. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. The above restriction is necessary because of works undertaken by Western Power Distribution to remove a damaged pole.
