Town Clerk

News - 16 February 2022

Julia Stuckey will leave her post of Portishead Town Council Clerk in March 2022 and move to a role at North Somerset Council. She said "The team of staff at Portishead is incredibly hardworking, professional, loyal and talented, and they deliver a huge range of services, activities and projects, all for the community. Many residents do not realise how much they do for the town. My new job is a return to Place Making, a role that I enjoy and in which I have lots of experience, and I wish the Portishead team well in their future endeavours."

The Council will contract with a Locum Clerk to cover the regulatory elements of the role whilst recruiting for a new Town Clerk.

The Town Councillors would like to thank Julia for all her hard work since joining us. She has helped to build an excellent team of staff, which was no mean feat during a pandemic, and we are all extremely grateful for the support she has given us. We are sorry to lose her and wish her the very best of luck in her new role.
