Turn the Tide / World Clean Up Day - 15th September
Past Event - 15 September 2018
Saturday 15th September is World Clean Up Day! Volunteers and partners worldwide will come together to rid our planet of litter – cleaning up litter and mismanaged waste from our beaches, rivers, forests, and streets.
A powerful ‘green wave’ of cleanups will start in New Zealand and end 36 hours later in Hawaii, with millions of people working towards one goal: a clean and healthy planet.
World Cleanup Day harnesses the power of everyday people to achieve incredible things by joining together. Join Turn The Tide Portishead and City to Sea to clean up Portishead Marina and surrounding areas.
Meet at the Captain's Cabin by the Marina Lock Gates at 14:30. All welcome including children and pets.
This event is risk assessed, and copies of the risk assessment are available to see at all our events. However, you are responsible for your own health & safety, and for your children's.
