The Portishead SoapBox event will see 40 teams gather on Esplanade Road, at the town's seafront to compete in home-built carts powered by gravity and willpower alone.
Spectators can stand on the roadside or sit on the grassy banks to watch the spectacle that begins at 11am. Big screen will ensure everyone will be able to see what's happening throughout.
