Portishead Easter Trail - ends April 22nd 2019
Past Event - 16 April 2019
An egg-citing Easter trail is running in Portishead High Street throughout the school Easter holidays.
Organised by Tanya Marriott of SoleLution shoe shop and sponsored by Reeds Rains estate agents, the treasure hunt style event that follows on from National Shoe Fitting Week, is designed to get everyone out and about exploring the town centre. It is hoped the trail will provide hours of family fun, whilst also promoting local businesses.
Coloured paper eggs will be hidden in shop windows along the High Street and the surrounding areas and participants are asked to make a note of where they find the eggs on an entry form, printed by Reeds Rains, that can be collected from SoleLution at 62 High Street. It costs £1 per person to enter and the entry fees will all go towards helping underprivileged school children in Kenya through the Educate the Kids charity.
Tanya at SoleLution supports the Jolaurabi School near Mombasa and will be making a trip to the school next month with more second hand shoes donated by members of the local community through her shops.
The Easter trail competition will run until Monday April 22. All correct entries will be entered in to a draw and the first 10 drawn out will win the main prizes which range from days out to chocolate treats, but all children entering will receive a small gift.
