A wide range of community groups in Portishead ensure that a constant flow of activities and events take place throughout the year in the town, with something to appeal to everyone. These range from open gardens weekends and the annual carnival to flower shows, a raft race and spectacular festive illuminations.
Our calendar brings you up-to-date news of these activities and events, along with details of Council meetings and other items of public interest. Just click on the relevant date on the calendar (to the right), for more information and the agenda (usually available 3 days before the meeting).

Would you like to discover more about your World War 1 ancestors? To mark the centenary of World War 1, our family history volunteers will be helping customers to research their world war 1 ancestors. Find out about your World War 1 ancestors and how to access service records at special sessions on Friday 9 November 10-1pm, Saturday 10 November 11-12.30pm and Friday 16 November 10-1pm.
Past Meeting - 7 November 2018
Members of the public are welcome at the Planning Committee Meeting in Portishead Folk Hall. There is an opportunity to address the Town Council for up to four minutes in the public speaking section at the beginning of the meeting. Meetings are held in the Folk Hall and start at 7.30pm.
