Easter Monday 22nd of April is World Earth Day, and to celebrate Turn The Tide are hosting a beach clean at Woodhill Bay, Portishead.
Meet outside Cafe Lido at 1:30pm where Turn the Tide will clean both the beach area and the Lake Grounds. All welcome including children and pets as they try and educate them on why it's important to keep Portishead's beaches clean (not the pets).
Earth Day Network’s mission is to diversify, educate and activate the environmental movement worldwide. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world and Portishead is going to be part of that this year!
This event is risk assessed, and copies of the risk assessment are available to see at all Turn the Tide events. However, you are responsible for your own health & safety & for your children's. All under 16 year olds need to be accompanied by an adult, they cannot take responsibility for any children attending.
Turn the Tide try to bring enough supplies for everyone, but it is your responsibility to bring your own suggested supplies of the below:
Grabbers, gardening/plastic gloves, bags, anti-bacterial hand gel, baby wipes & first aid kit.
Turn the Tide do take photos of these events for use in further publicising of events etc, and for social media - if you do not want to be featured in these, please let them know either by message or at the beginning of an event.
