A wide range of community groups in Portishead ensure that a constant flow of activities and events take place throughout the year in the town, with something to appeal to everyone. These range from open gardens weekends and the annual carnival to flower shows, a raft race and spectacular festive illuminations.

Our calendar brings you up-to-date news of these activities and events, along with details of Council meetings and other items of public interest. Just click on the relevant date on the calendar (to the right), for more information and the agenda (usually available 3 days before the meeting). 

All Portishead Town Council meetings are held on a Wednesday unless otherwise stated:

  • Planning Advisory Group Committee 7:30pm Folk Hall
  • Town Council 7:30pm Folk Hall
  • Staffing & Finance Committee 7:30pm Eve Wigan Room 
  • Community Matters (formerly Recreation & Works) Commitee 7:30pm Folk Hall

Due to the current Coronavirus situation the Community Matters meetings after 25 March* may be cancelled or held remotely.  Please check this page for changes, the rescheduling of meeting and if public attendance is possible.
