About Council Meetings

Portishead Town Council makes its decisions at council and committee meetings.  These meetings are open to the public although you may sometimes be excluded if anything confidential is being discussed. Further information about contributing at Town Council meetings can be found here.

Meetings are held in the Folk Hall, 95 High Street, Portishead starting at 7.30 p.m., unless otherwise stated.  See News and Events for details.

All meetings of the authority follow the rules laid out in the council's Standing Orders and the authority of the Chairman is final.

The public gallery in the council chamber is fully accessible to people in wheelchairs as are all of the other meeting rooms in the building.
